Kinda like a blog…. only about yaks and our yak ranch,  well mostly a kind of tumblelog of discoveries about yaks and anything that one may discover riding on a yak. Really we just post anything we find or someone sends us. We may discuss “Yak Shaving” from time to time as well. Let us know what you think.

Grunniens Ranch is a yak ranch based in Elbert Colorado on 200 acres of high prairie. We are working hard to improve our herd and the land they live on ‘cause we believe that nature designed our high prairie ecosystem to thrive with the help of herds of ruminants. We are committed to the development of the finest yaks for breeding and companions as well as the production of a healthy, delicious, food, on a sustainable, grass-based ranch.
